Eco Trail linking Jabal Akhdar Villages
Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has announced that the 2.4km eco-trail linking Al Aqr, Al Ain, and Al Sharijah in Jabal Akhdar is 90% complete. With an investment of RO83,500, the project includes stone-paved paths, shaded seating, and viewing platforms designed to enhance the visitor experience.
This initiative focuses on preserving the cultural and natural beauty of the mountain while providing a platform for local families to sell traditional products like rose water and honey.
Expected to be fully operational by the end of 2026, the trail marks a significant step in Oman’s sustainable tourism development.
